I made Smithers our home 17 years with my husband Dana and 4 wonderful children. I developed a passion for yoga and have journeyed to this place of teaching – to hopefully inspire others. My desire is to provide an all inclusive, non judgmental, fun , friendly place to gather, exercise and feel good.

Transition from your busy day with a class that combines both yang and yin styles of yoga, starting as a gently warming flow and slowing to a quiet yin sequence. Yin yoga, also known as slow yoga, involves poses held for several minutes to bring deep release to our connective tissues: it is yielding, cooling and deeply relaxing. This class is suitable for all levels.
Instructor Amanda Follett Hosgood is a 200-hour registered yoga teacher who has been practising yoga for two decades. With a passion for creative sequencing, she brings her love of flow and mindful relaxation to every class she teaches. Amanda lives just outside Smithers with her two gurus: her husband, Nick, and daughter, Willow.

My fascination with yoga began over 40 years ago when I was introduced to Kundalini yoga. Stretching my body balanced out all the physical activities I participated in. From there, I continued to explore different forms of yoga, including Iyengar yoga. I appreciated how this form of yoga balanced stiff, tight bodies safely as well as providing stability and alignment to willowy bodies. Not only this, Iyengar yoga has supported me through major life transitions, providing sanity, healing, and balance. In 2010 I became a Certified Level II Iyengar yoga teacher as a way to share the gifts of yoga with others.
I came to Kundalini Yoga looking for ways to relieve back pain and found myself benefiting also mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. It’s an honour to be able to share this ancient technology of postures (asanas), breath (pranayam), chants (mantra), music, deep relaxation and meditation. Chris is a KRI certified Kundalini Yoga Teacher.
Nicole’s journey with yoga began 8 years ago when she first signed up for a beginner Iyengar yoga class. In the years since she has come & gone from her practice, trying different styles and classes along the way.
In 2013 her youngest son was diagnosed with a rare & life-threatening illness and amidst the chaos & uncertainty that life sometimes brings, she found her way to her yoga mat and developed a daily yoga practice at home in order to cope. It was there on her mat that she found comfort and strength.
She came to understand more fully what yoga could do to assist a person mentally, physically and spiritually. At that moment she knew she wanted to share the gift of well-being that yoga can offer with others.
So in the summer of 2015 she completed her 200 hour, Hatha based YTT certification in Victoria.
Her hope & intention is that after class you feel better on the inside and outside then when you first stepped on your mat.
I discovered a love for yoga almost twenty years ago. Since then I’ve become a mom to two boys and a teacher to twenty 6 year olds…so now I relish my yoga mat! Yoga inspires me to live each moment more mindfully. It allows me to grow stronger and be more flexible (both on and off the mat!) in a way that is still kind and gentle on the body. I hope you leave my classes feeling uplifted and inspired
